Title: SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) Expert DTP
Location: 100% Remote,
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) Expert with deep functional expertise in Discrete & Process Manufacturing (DTP). The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, configuring, and deploying SAP S/4HANA solutions to support complex manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration across logistics, quality, and execution processes.
This role requires strong end-to-end manufacturing process knowledge, hands-on S/4HANA configuration experience, and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP S/4HANA Production Planning
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA PP solutions for Discrete, Process, and Hybrid manufacturing environments
- Configure and support DTP (Discrete/ Repetitive Manufacturing) scenarios, including:
- Production versions
- Recipes, routings, and master data
- Order types and production strategies
- Implement and optimize MPS/MRP strategies aligned with business planning and demand signals
Integration & Process Optimization
- Ensure seamless integration between PP, QM, MM, SD, EWM, and FI/CO
- Support Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Engineer-to-Order, and Process Manufacturing scenarios
- Optimize manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, yield, lead time, and capacity utilization
Project & Delivery Leadership
- Lead workshops and design sessions with business and technical stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs
- Support data migration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover activities
- Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Advisory & Best Practices
- Advise clients on SAP S/4HANA best practices, innovations, and roadmap
- Support SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversions, brownfield and greenfield implementations
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, or related field
Experience
- 8+ years of SAP PP experience, including hands-on S/4HANA implementations
- Proven experience with:
- Discrete & Process Manufacturing (DTP)
- Experience working on global or multi-plant manufacturing environments
Technical Skills
- Strong configuration knowledge in:
- SAP S/4HANA PP
- MPS/MRP parameters
- Understanding of S/4HANA data model and simplifications
- Experience with Fiori apps related to PP and QM
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA Manufacturing or Production Planning
- Experience with Advanced Planning tools (PP/DS, APO, or IBP)
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 / Digital Manufacturing initiatives
- Experience in regulated industries (Pharma, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Automotive, or High Tech)
