Position Summary
The Epic Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) Analyst is responsible for the design, build, optimization, implementation, and support of Epic ClinDoc functionality. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure documentation workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert in Epic Clinical Documentation and supports ongoing system enhancements, break/fix resolution, and regulatory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, test, and maintain Epic ClinDoc functionality, including flowsheets, SmartForms, navigators, notes, templates, and clinical documentation tools.
- Collaborate with nursing, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to analyze workflows and translate operational needs into system solutions.
- Lead and participate in system upgrades, new feature implementation, and optimization initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues (break/fix), ensuring timely resolution and minimal workflow disruption.
- Develop and execute test scripts, support integrated testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Maintain documentation for build decisions, workflows, and change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission) related to clinical documentation standards.
- Participate in governance committees and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Support training teams with workflow clarification and build explanations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Epic Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) Certification (active and in good standing).
- Experience supporting Epic applications in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, particularly nursing documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
