Summary

Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer (PE / Industrial Facilities)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing design team and take ownership of structural analysis and design for a diverse portfolio of complex projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with structural leads, multi-disciplinary teams, and drafters to develop design concepts, execute calculations, and translate structural requirements into comprehensive design documents and BIM/CAD models.
This is a high-impact, autonomous role for a licensed professional who can execute conventional and complex aspects of structural engineering with minimal supervision. You will have the opportunity to lead structural work packages for mid-sized projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence. If you are a detail-oriented structural expert with strong lateral design experience and a drive for career growth, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Analysis & Design
Technical Execution: Independently perform structural analysis and design for traditional steel and concrete structures, applying sound engineering judgment and standard methodologies.
Lateral Force Design: Execute complex lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic forces, ensuring strict adherence to current building code provisions (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
Cross-Disciplinary Integration: Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure seamless integration and clash resolution using tools like Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Project Ownership & Leadership
Scope & Schedule Management: Take full ownership of assigned structural scopes, managing workloads, meeting budget and schedule requirements, and identifying scope changes proactively.
Quality Control: Exhibit rigorous attention to detail by thoroughly checking your own calculations as well as reviewing the work of peer engineers.
Mentorship & Development: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and designers while championing workflow improvements and emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred).
Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) License is required (Structural Engineer [SE] license is a strong plus).
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in structural engineering.
Technical Mastery:
oProven proficiency with U.S. building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
oHands-on expertise with industry-standard structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
oDemonstrated experience designing and analyzing structural steel and reinforced concrete systems.
Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Attributes
Direct design experience within complex industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing structural scopes for mid-sized projects or guiding small project teams.
Proactive problem-solver with a strong commitment to quality control and collaborative innovation.
