Job Description
We are seeking a Solutions Architect Contractor to join our team supporting a Deloitte engagement. The role will focus on strategy, design, and oversight of a modern Finance data integration platform leveraging Azure and Databricks, with an emphasis on data governance, consistency, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and support development of technology solutions aligned to enterprise architectural standards.
- Define interaction requirements for components, subsystems, and interfaces to create solution blueprints.
- Convert predetermined solution elements into secure, compliant blueprint designs meeting project requirements.
- Lead and support architectural activities across a portfolio of solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solution architecture expertise.
- Design and implement a modern Finance data integration platform on Azure and Databricks.
- Partner with cloud, data services, security, and network teams to enable platform capabilities.
- Own and maintain architectural artifacts including solution documents, decision records, patterns, and standards.
- Lead Architecture Review Committee and Technology Architecture Board reviews for non-standard technologies.
- Guide Finance development teams on adoption and use of the new data integration platform.
- Contribute to defining the support model for the data integration platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Primary: Databricks expertise, advanced level with 6-9 years of experience.
- Cloud-native architecture and Azure cloud platform experience.
- ETL design and implementation, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, managed file transfer.
- Infrastructure as code, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and version control.
- Data lakes, data modeling, scripting, testing automation, and data governance principles.
- Tooling: Azure, Informatica IDMC, Databricks, Apache Kafka, Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Oracle Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Linux, Java, Python, Collibra, GitHub, LeanIX, Draw.io, Iceberg.
- Interpersonal: Analytical thinking, problem solving, clear communication, adaptability, and continuous learning.
- Experience level: Senior architect for finance domain integrations and platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Azure certifications.
- Experience in Agile delivery and architecture governance processes.
