Project Overview
DFS is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM / Payroll functional specialist to support the Division of Accounting & Auditing in preparing for the implementation of the Florida PALM PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) module. The consultant will assist with payroll modernization, business process changes, testing, and organizational readiness.
Primary Responsibilities
Testing & UAT
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel payroll testing
  • Validate payroll calculations, taxes, and deductions
  • Document defects and testing results
  • Review Florida PALM functional designs
Business Process Support
  • Analyze business process impacts
  • Provide PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll subject matter expertise
  • Develop PeopleSoft queries
  • Create desk procedures, job aids, and training materials
  • Support change management and knowledge transfer
Project Management
  • Identify risks and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate Florida PALM transition activities
  • Support conversion and cutover planning
  • Assist with policy development, communications, and training
  • Track project tasks and deliverables
Mandatory Skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience with:
  • PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Payroll processing
  • ERP implementation projects
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Business process analysis
  • Florida PALM readiness activities
  • Documentation and training development
  • Project coordination
  • Working with cross-functional business teams
Additional Requirements
  • Level 2 background screening with fingerprinting
  • Complete DFS security awareness training within 15 days of start
