Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Program / Project Manager to lead the integration and consolidation of custom-built enterprise applications following a recent acquisition. This role will focus exclusively on custom-developed platforms, APIs, data services, and internally built operational systems not packaged ERP platforms. The selected candidate will drive the strategy, planning, and execution required to unify duplicated or overlapping applications into a streamlined, scalable architecture.

This is a contract engagement requiring travel to Houston, Chicago, Green Bay, and Baltimore to support stakeholder workshops, planning sessions, and executive steering meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end integration of custom-developed applications across legacy and acquired environments
  • Conduct application portfolio assessment, rationalization, and consolidation planning
  • Develop integration roadmaps and phased migration strategies
  • Manage multiple Agile delivery teams working across development, DevOps, QA, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data
  • Facilitate program-level Agile ceremonies (PI planning, release planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives)
  • Drive API strategy, data integration, and system interoperability initiatives
  • Coordinate data migration, codebase consolidation, environment alignment, and platform standardization
  • Establish governance structure, executive reporting cadence, and program KPIs
  • Manage risks, interdependencies, and cross-functional integration challenges
  • Oversee vendor partners, system integrators, and offshore/onshore development teams as applicable
  • Align with enterprise architecture and security teams to ensure compliance and scalability

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of IT Program or Project Management experience
  • Proven leadership of application integration programs during mergers or acquisitions
  • Strong experience managing custom software development initiatives
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid models)
  • Experience managing complex technical workstreams including APIs, microservices, data services, and cloud-native applications
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across IT and business leadership
  • Experience managing budgets, resource plans, and multi-team delivery schedules
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Houston, Chicago, Green Bay, and Baltimore
