Title: IT Purchasing and Vendor Management Analyst

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Northville, MI (hybrid)

Must Have:

  • 3-7 years of IT Purchasing experience
  • Experience purchasing IT Software is required
  • Experience managing IT Vendor relationships
  • Experience creating and negotiating SOWs is required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry, ideally Automotive Manufacturing is a plus
  • Any experience working on vendor consolidation initiatives is a big plus

Job Description

Vendor Management and IT Purchasing Analyst - Job Description

Procurement Management: Purchase IT equipment, software, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.

Contract Management: Oversee the lifecycle of IT contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.

Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best deals

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT contract entitlements.

Handle internal contract-related complaints or disagreements from the business or other internal stakeholders

Administer commercial and financial arrangements with vendors to include invoice review of billing, performance credits and earn backs and internal chargebacks, where appropriate

Facilitate and maintain relationships between the vendors and internal resources, including IT stakeholders and executive leadership

Ensure reviews (contract, business, risk, etc.) are occurring in accordance with the agenda, participants and cadence defined

Minimum Requirements:

Education - Bachelor s Degree required.

Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of experience managing contract life cycles. Experience managing large complex vendors or projects in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, managed services and telecom.

3+ years of experience in procurement of IT Software

Strong negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience managing large complex contractors or projects in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, managed services and telecom.

Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of procurement and vendor management practices

Strong interpersonal communication skills to be applied in a working environment with vendors across the entire contract cycle.

Knowledge of IT concepts and systems

Strong dispute resolution and mediation skills to handle issue escalation

Use analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing tasks with appropriate urgency in a results-oriented environment

Ability to work across a complex organization to create needed alignment and harness relationships to collaborate with business units to influence decisions and drive strategy

Knowledge of IT concepts and systems
