Oracle DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Merrimack, NH.

Duties Include:
* Perform applications database administration (Oracle & Snowflake) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support and Engineering
* Proactively monitor databases servers and respond to any alerts
* Provide database support in all phases of SDLC
* Participate in 24X7 on call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping and installs
* Work with enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security and Capacity Planning groups as and when situation demands
* Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations and onboarding new applications and/or clients
* Write clear, concise, well organized user documentation to maintain standards and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent
* 6+ years of experience in Oracle DBA with Exadata and RAC expertise
* 2+ years of experience in Cloud (AWS/OCI/Azure)
* 2+ years of experience in Snowflake database administration
* 2+ years of experience in distributed replication technologies (Oracle Goldengate), preferred but not mandatory
* 2+ years of experience in the Mutual Fund/Financial Services industry is highly desired
* Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and assist application teams in troubleshooting and resolving performance related issues
* Experience with Linux shell scripting and development experience with PL/SQL
* Experience with cloud databases platforms (AWS/Azure certification is preferred), on both Linux and Windows environments
* Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
* Should have strong time management skills with willingness and ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
* Agile experience is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
