Oracle DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Merrimack, NH that is seeking an Oracle DBA.

Responsibilities:
* Provide database support in all phases of SDLC
* Participate in 24X7 on call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping and installs
* Work with enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security and Capacity Planning groups as and when situation demands
* Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations and onboarding new applications and/or clients

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent desirable
* Ability to perform applications database administration (Oracle) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application build, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering
* Experience in setting up, installing and managing multisite databases using Oracle Goldengate replication
* Experience with cloud databases platforms on Linux environments
* Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
* Strong time leadership skills with willingness and ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
* Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal and communication skills
* Advanced skills in SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control (OEM 12c), Linux shell scripting, and writing database monitoring jobs in PL/SQL
* Strong Linux shell scripting experience preferred
* Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as maintaining a flexible attitude are a must
* Ability to develop and drive database administration strategies and initiatives as per the needs of the team
* Agile experience is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
