Summary

Job title: z/OS Automation Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities:

System Automation: Implementing, configuring, and maintaining IBM Z System Automation (SA z/OS) and NetView to maximize availability and minimize manual intervention.
Scripting and Tools: Developing REXX scripts and JCL to automate operational processes and troubleshooting issues using TSO/ISPF.
Migration Projects: Leading or participating in z/OS automation migration projects to ensure smooth transitions.

Required Skills:

5+ years working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy or support role
Must have experience with z/OS Automation migration projects
OPS/MVS and/or BMC Auto Operator (but OPS/MVS is preferred)
System Automation/ Netview implementation or migration experience.
Working Knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB)
Strong REXX coding skills.
Demonstrated strong written and communications skills
The ability to use TSO and ISPF
JCL skills
