This position involves managing and implementing end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure hosting critical core components. The role supports and monitors application infrastructure, ensures issues are proactively addressed, and manages release processes. The candidate will work in a large enterprise environment, requiring strong operational skills and the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement Linux-based infrastructure for databases, GRID computing, and enterprise job schedulers.
- Support and monitor application infrastructure and various internal core components.
- Ensure application issues on supported infrastructures are proactively fixed before user impact.
- Support release management, troubleshooting, incident management, and problem management.
- Provide support coverage for migration projects, including servers, Active Directory, and datacenter moves.
- Handle overall IT infrastructure scheduled maintenance.
- Monitor core environment components to ensure stability and performance.
- Adhere to processes for efficient incident and problem management.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Background in a large enterprise environment.
- Expertise in handling overall IT infrastructure and scheduled maintenance.
- Operational skills in troubleshooting production issues and identifying root causes.
Technical Skills:- Excellent knowledge of Linux OS internals and operational OS skills.
- Knowledge of Python, UNIX Shell, or Perl scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Work Environment
This role requires working rotational shifts, including weekends. The specified shift hours are from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM EDT.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $55.00 to $63.52 per hour. Please note that the exact compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, geographic location, and qualifications.
