Summary

Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Location: Mossville, IL & Tucson, AZ
Employment Type: Contract (10 Months)
Work Authorization: W2

Job Responsibilities

Translate research insights and usability test findings into actionable, prioritized recommendations for UI design improvements
Analyze user, customer, and business needs to create intuitive and engaging user experiences
Apply and facilitate user research methodologies to gather meaningful insights
Integrate user research into product design and continuous design practices
Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to define prototype requirements for testing and iteration
Document key UX goals, themes, behaviors, and interaction patterns for downstream UI teams
Develop and maintain UX artifacts such as journey maps, user flows, and storyboards
Define and document overall UX strategy, including design principles, interaction models, and experience guidelines
Prioritize research initiatives and backlog in alignment with product roadmap and business objectives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related UX field
(Equivalent experience of 2 3 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree)
5+ years of experience in UX Design and/or UX Research

Required Skills

Strong empathy and ability to synthesize user and stakeholder insights into meaningful design solutions
Adaptive thinking with the ability to respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities
Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and core design principles
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Experience with Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and interactive system design
Strong experience in prototyping and user-centered design methodologies
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Portfolio demonstrating design process, problem-solving approach, and delivered outcomes

Preferred Skills

Experience in project management or leading UX initiatives

Soft Skills

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to effectively communicate insights through compelling data storytelling
