Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Network Engineer responsible for strengthening and modernizing enterprise network security through systematic auditing, segmentation, and legacy infrastructure remediation. This role focuses on firewall and access control governance, reducing technical debt, and advancing a Zero-Trust network architecture while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience designing, securing, and operating enterprise network infrastructures
* Hands-on experience with firewall platforms, ACL management, and network security policy enforcement
* Strong understanding of network segmentation, Zero-Trust principles, and defense-in-depth architectures
* Experience identifying and remediating legacy network configurations and technical debt
* Familiarity with VLANs, routing protocols, and trust zone design
* Ability to produce clear, accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
* Knowledge of security governance, risk, and compliance concepts within regulated environments
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
