Network Security Engineer - Onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Network Security Engineer for an onsite role.

Summary:
Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. This is an opportunity to help secure a complex enterprise environment supporting global business operations while working alongside a highly technical security organization. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on building, securing, and continuously improving enterprise security capabilities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in infrastructure and networking and enjoys solving complex security challenges across cloud, identity, endpoint, and network security.

Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and enhance enterprise security solutions across network, cloud, endpoint, identity, and infrastructure environments
* Engineer and maintain enterprise security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, email security, endpoint protection, and identity security
* Secure enterprise cloud environments across AWS and/or Azure
* Investigate security incidents and continuously improve detection and response capabilities
* Partner with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve overall security posture and remediate vulnerabilities
* Develop security automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
* Evaluate and implement emerging security technologies, including AI-related security capabilities where appropriate
* Contribute to enterprise security architecture, standards, and operational best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6+ years of hands-on Security Engineering experience within complex enterprise environments
* Strong background in enterprise networking, infrastructure, and security engineering
* Experience with enterprise firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, or similar platforms
* Experience securing cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
* Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity security, and enterprise security operations
* Strong understanding of Windows, Active Directory, Linux, networking, virtualization, and modern infrastructure technologies
* Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages for automation
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
* Financial services experience is a plus but not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
