Required Skills
SAP-ISU Billing, Meter-to-Cash (M2C) Process Knowledge, Delivery and Collaboration
Hands-on configuration experience with complex rate structures and billing riders in SAP-ISU, including demand charges, time-of-use rates, ratchet clauses, and multi-tier rate logic
Experience configuring and validating the Real-Time Pricing (RTP) interface and EDM (Energy Data Management) module integrations
Strong knowledge of SAP-ISU billing execution, billing schema, and rate category configuration
Familiarity with offline bill print configuration and bill format customization
Experience supporting or leading FUT, SIT, and regression testing for billing-related functionality
Deep understanding of the end-to-end M2C process within a utility environment, including interval data collection, billing, bill print, and exception management
Experience working with interval meter data, EDM device and installation configurations, and the flow of consumption data through to billing
Familiarity with billing exception management processes, including identification, investigation, and resolution of billing exceptions prior to bill issuance
Demonstrated ability to work in an agile delivery environment, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and review ceremonies
Experience working directly with business SMEs and Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical billing configurations
Strong communication skills able to articulate complex billing logic clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Utility industry experience, ideally with multi-OpCo or multi-jurisdictional billing environments
Role Description
The BRIGHT program is a large-scale SAP-ISU EDM billing transformation at Entergy, one of the largest utility companies in the United States.
The program is in its final and most technically demanding delivery phase, focused on configuring and validating complex billing functionality across multiple Entergy operating companies (OpCos) including MAB complex riders, rate categories, billing
contracts, offline bill print, and multi-OpCo rate logic.
We are looking for an experienced SAP-ISU Billing Functional Consultant who can integrate into an active agile delivery team with minimal ramp time. The resource will be embedded directly with the delivery team and expected to contribute from day one.
Responsibilities
Configure and validate complex rate structures, billing riders, and rate categories within SAP-ISU EDM and the Billing module across multiple Entergy OpCos (GS, TX, LA, MS)
Lead and support design and solutioning sessions for complex rider logic, including SMS riders, interruptible service riders, purchase power riders, special rate contracts, and economic development riders
Collaborate closely with functional consultants, developers, business SMEs, and Product Owners to ensure billing configurations accurately reflect business requirements and acceptance criteria
Review and validate AI-generated base requirements, identify gaps, and ensure all edge cases and rate logic exceptions are captured before development begins
Provide technical guidance and best practice recommendations on SAP-ISU billing module configuration, with a focus on utility billing complexity and multi-OpCo rate variations
Support Functional Unit Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and defect resolution for billing configuration-related issues
Participate in refinement sessions to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and prepare user stories for sprint planning
Document configuration decisions, design rationale, and known exceptions in the program knowledge base
Preferred / Nice to Have
Prior experience on Entergy systems or knowledge of Entergy's rate structures and operating company billing profiles
Experience with SAP-ISU to S/4HANA Utilities migration or cloud EDM environments
Familiarity with AI-assisted requirements generation and review workflows
