Summary

Location: Horicon, WI Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly Description:
Position Summary

Plans, coordinates, and executes manufacturing engineering activities for production processes and projects. Works collaboratively within a team environment supporting product delivery and operational manufacturing objectives. At this level, assignments are generally limited in scope and complexity, with work performed within established procedures and guidelines. Decisions and recommendations may be reviewed by supervisors or managers. May coordinate, assign, and review portions of work completed by support personnel, vendors, or contractors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis of manufacturing requirements and assist in defining methods, process steps, equipment, machinery, and systems needed to develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in the development and feasibility testing of engineering solutions, providing data and feedback to validate designs and process improvements.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and implementation of engineering standards, specifications, and best practices while evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments under the guidance of senior engineers to evaluate the quality, safety, and integrity of manufacturing processes, equipment, and installations. Recommend corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with suppliers, contractors, and service providers while serving as a primary point of contact within established project and contract management guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process, system, and procedural improvements and support implementation through structured change management initiatives.
  • Support knowledge-sharing efforts by assisting team members with engineering tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Participate in product development and manufacturing engineering projects by analyzing customer or operational requirements and supporting solution implementation.
  • Contribute to projects by executing assigned tasks and supporting achievement of project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Continuously develop technical and professional capabilities through training, coaching, certifications, and development programs.
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to support production operations and communicate project status, risks, and progress to management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly processes, tooling, and production systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
  • Approximately 50% of working time will be spent on the production floor.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 35 lbs may be required.
  • May operate facility vehicles or material-handling equipment after completing required training and certifications.
  • May travel locally between company facilities for meetings, project support, or operational activities as needed.
  • Required personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective safety footwear, must be worn in designated manufacturing areas.
