Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an Infrastructure Project Manager (Governance / Service Delivery / Infrastructure) for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Dallas, TX.
Onsite: 4-5 days/week
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber Project Manager to support the buildout of a new office location in Dallas as part of a broader US expansion initiative.
This role is not intended to be a deeply hands-on infrastructure engineer or construction expert. However, it does require a solid background in technology and infrastructure environments. This is not a software development or application delivery PM role.
The primary need is for a strong, pedigree Project Manager who excels in governance, risk management, delivery oversight, executive reporting, and cross-functional accountability within infrastructure-driven programs.
The ideal candidate understands how infrastructure programs operate (networks, data centers, cabling, workplace technology, etc.), and can effectively manage delivery across those domains without needing to perform the technical work directly.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive governance and execution oversight for the Dallas office infrastructure buildout
  • Establish and manage program structure including objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines
  • Maintain and actively manage RAID logs with a strong focus on proactive risk identification and mitigation
  • Identify delivery gaps, risks, and dependencies early and ensure appropriate escalation
  • Hold teams accountable for timelines, deliverables, and commitments
  • Coordinate across infrastructure, facilities, cabling, workplace technology, and related workstreams
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and steering committee materials
  • Ensure governance processes drive action and are not just administrative
  • Escalate issues when teams are off track or risks are not being addressed
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Support financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting as needed
  • Assist with audit, compliance, and governance-related activities tied to the program
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large enterprise environments
  • Strong track record of governance, risk management, and delivery oversight
  • Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure or technology programs (not application development)
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure environments such as:
    • Networks (LAN/WAN)
    • Data centers, MDFs, IDFs
    • Cabling and workplace technology deployments
  • Deep experience with:
    • Project planning and milestone management
    • RAID logs and structured risk management
    • Executive reporting and stakeholder communication
    • Escalation and accountability management
  • Proven ability to identify risks early and manage proactively
  • Strong ability to drive alignment across multiple teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience operating in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting infrastructure buildouts, office expansions, or large enterprise programs
  • Consulting background (strong plus)
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and audit/compliance processes
  • PMP or equivalent certification
