RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.
Overview:
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level DevOps/Platform Engineer to support a critical initiative involving a new certificate platform built from the ground up. The platform has already been implemented using Nix, and the team is actively preparing for a production go-live, refining deployment environments and resolving final gaps.
This role is highly technical and well-suited for someone who thrives in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and Kubernetes-based environments from a developer-focused perspective.
What You Will Be Working On:
* Supporting a newly built certificate platform as it moves toward production go-live
* Refining and stabilizing deployment environments
* Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Nix
* Leveraging Nix to generate Terraform scripts
* Working within Kubernetes-deployed application environments
* Contributing across infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and platform reliability
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong, hands-on experience with Nix (must-have)
* Experience provisioning infrastructure using infrastructure as code
* Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using Nix
Deep experience with:
* Kubernetes
* Helm
* Fleet
* Experience supporting applications deployed in Kubernetes environments
* Ability to work from a developer-focused DevOps perspective
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
