Pay Rate: $46.06+/hour

Are you an experienced Tooling Engineer with a background in machining, tool design, and process improvement? Join a leading automotive manufacturing team where you'll play a critical role in delivering high-performance machining operations, improving quality, and supporting new production launches.

What You'll Do


  • Support machining operations through tooling development, modifications, and implementation.

  • Work closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to optimize production performance.

  • Identify tooling-related issues and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Complete PPAP documentation and support manufacturing launch activities.

  • Lead process audits and ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and operational standards.

  • Develop work instructions, process documentation, and tooling control methods.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.

  • Support variability reduction, process capability improvements, and manufacturing best practices.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 5+ years of experience in tooling, machining, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.

  • Experience with high-volume machining tool manufacturing and tool design.

  • Knowledge of tooling modifications, tool testing, and machining processes.

  • Experience programming tool presetters such as Royal or Zoller is preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.


Preferred Skills


  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, PPAP, DOE, DMAIC, and DFSS methodologies.

  • Experience with 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
