Salary Range: $111,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hudsonville seeking Engineering Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring project success.
• Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for production challenges and efficiency improvements.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of lean manufacturing principles and data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing and developing engineering teams, including performance management and career development.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion, on time and within budget.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and their use in process improvement.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
