QA Project Manager / Scrum Master – Anaplan

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Project Manager / Scrum Master with a strong QA delivery and program coordination background to support multiple Anaplan initiatives.

This is not a hands-on testing role. The consultant will focus on QA-level planning, delivery coordination, milestone tracking, risk management, governance, and cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating QA activities across multiple projects and a strong understanding of Anaplan, Finance, or Planning environments.

Key Responsibilities

QA Delivery & Timeline Management

• Own QA-level planning, milestone tracking, and delivery coordination across multiple Anaplan initiatives.
• Translate overall project schedules into clear QA timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Track QA readiness across SIT, UAT, Regression, and Release Support phases.
• Ensure QA deliverables align with overall project and release timelines.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Serve as the primary coordination point between:
  • QA Functional Leads
  • Project and Delivery Managers
  • Anaplan development/build teams
  • Internal and external vendors
  • Finance and business stakeholders
• Identify and track dependencies related to build readiness, environments, test data, and business sign-offs.
• Facilitate communication and ensure stakeholders remain aligned on QA commitments and timelines.

QA Governance & Reporting

• Maintain QA status reporting covering milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies, and readiness.
• Manage QA-related RAID items and drive resolution or escalation.
• Provide leadership with clear and proactive visibility into QA delivery health.
• Track progress against agreed timelines and identify potential delays early.

Risk & Dependency Management

• Proactively identify risks related to:
  • Compressed testing timelines
  • Competing Anaplan releases
  • Environment and data readiness
  • QA capacity constraints
  • Cross-project dependencies
• Partner with QA leads and project managers to develop mitigation strategies and realistic delivery plans.

Continuous Improvement

• Help standardize QA delivery and coordination practices across Anaplan workstreams.
• Improve predictability, transparency, and consistency of QA delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve program-level communication, tracking, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in QA Program Management, Delivery Management, Project Management, or Project Coordination.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of QA lifecycles and delivery processes.
• Experience coordinating QA activities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, Planning, or enterprise business systems.
• Strong project coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and escalation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both onshore and offshore teams.
• Ability to manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Anaplan program or project experience.
• Experience coordinating Anaplan testing/planning initiatives.
• Scrum Master certification is a plus.
• Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams.
• Background in Finance Technology or FP&A programs.
• Experience supporting large enterprise transformation or planning initiatives.

Important – Role Scope

This is a QA delivery coordination and program management role, not a hands-on testing position.

Out of Scope

• Test case creation or execution
• Defect triage or validation
• Anaplan model configuration or development

The successful candidate will focus on QA planning, coordination, governance, timeline management, risk/dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication.
