Application Analyst EAM Release Management

W2 Contract role

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Application Analyst EAM Release Management to support the planning, coordination, and execution of application releases and production deployments within a complex Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) environment.

This role is ideal for an IT Release Analyst, Release Coordinator, Application Analyst, Application Support Analyst, IT Project Coordinator, or Change Management Analyst who has experience coordinating application deployments, production changes, testing, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Release & Deployment Management


  • Coordinate application releases, production deployments, maintenance activities, emergency changes, sprint releases, and off-cycle implementations.
  • Develop and maintain release plans, deployment schedules, milestones, readiness checklists, implementation timelines, and action-item trackers.
  • Coordinate activities across application, infrastructure, database, testing, environment, integration, analytics, GIS, mobility, vendor, and business teams.
  • Track release dependencies, risks, blockers, decisions, and outstanding activities through completion.
  • Monitor implementation activities during scheduled deployment windows and communicate changes, delays, risks, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support evening and weekend implementation windows when required.

Release Readiness & Go/No-Go Support


  • Coordinate release readiness meetings, pre-job briefings, implementation status calls, and post-release reviews.
  • Collect technical and functional validation results from application, infrastructure, QA, business, and support teams.
  • Track testing completion, defects, technical checkout, functional checkout, resource availability, and other release-readiness requirements.
  • Identify unresolved issues or risks that could impact production deployment.
  • Prepare accurate status information and supporting materials for go/no-go decision discussions.
  • Ensure required approvals, documentation, testing evidence, and implementation plans are complete before deployment.

Change Management & Production Support


  • Coordinate Change Requests and ensure required release and implementation documentation is complete.
  • Support adherence to established Change Management, release management, testing, documentation, and production support procedures.
  • Work with Change Management teams to ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before implementation.
  • Assist with production issues, failed implementations, System Disruption Events, deployment exceptions, and critical incidents.
  • Coordinate issue escalation and recovery activities with technical teams, vendors, application support, and leadership.
  • Track post-release issues and ensure appropriate follow-up through resolution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; or 4+ years of relevant IT/business experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • IT Application Analysis
    • Release Management
    • Release Coordination
    • Application Support
    • IT Project Coordination
    • Change Management
    • Production Support
    • Deployment Coordination

  • Experience coordinating application releases, deployments, production changes, or implementation activities.
  • Experience creating or maintaining release plans, implementation schedules, readiness trackers, status reports, risk logs, and action-item trackers.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and determine when issues require escalation.
  • Ability to support scheduled evening or weekend production deployments when required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) applications or other complex enterprise application environments.
  • Experience in a utility, energy, manufacturing, transportation, or other asset-intensive industry.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Oracle EAM, or similar asset management platforms.
  • Experience coordinating major releases, sprint releases, emergency releases, maintenance releases, or off-cycle deployments.
