Quality Engineer

Duration: 1+ Years Contract
Location: Dubuque, IA/ Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Summary

Quality Engineering role provides an opportunity to become integrated into a manufacturing engineering environment by supporting quality and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities are generally focused in scope, with work performed under the guidance and review of experienced engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems to identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing and conducting feasibility studies and validation activities for proposed engineering solutions.
  • Support the creation, revision, and evaluation of engineering standards, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Perform inspections and quality assessments of products, processes, equipment, or installations under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Help identify non-conformances and support corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers while serving as a point of contact as needed.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using established change management practices.
  • Assist with maintaining and utilizing knowledge management and documentation systems.
  • Support product development, process validation, and engineering projects by analyzing requirements and providing technical input.
  • Contribute to project execution activities while following established project plans, schedules, and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or practical experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment is preferred.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
