Role: Backup Solutions lead / Rubrik and VMware Cloud Foundation

We are looking for a highly capable IT Engineer with 15+ years, deep subject matter expertise in Rubrik data protection technologies. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end backup and recovery lifecycle across our on-premises infrastructure, VMWARE VCF5 and VCF9 Integration & Support .
Responsibilities
Lead the configuration, optimization, and administration of Rubrik clusters across hybrid environments.
Ensure comprehensive backup coverage for physical servers, virtualized platforms, Rubrik and VMware Cloud Foundation
Conduct regular resilience reviews and steer corrective actions.
Expert in setting-up recovery polices, snapshots, File-Level recovery, DR polices and implement best practices
Own backup policies, support VCF 9 transitions, SLAs, retention schedules, immutability controls, and compliance frameworks.
Expertise
Perform routine health checks, troubleshooting, and remediation.
Respond to backup and restore incidents and complete root cause analysis.
Oversee patching, upgrades, and feature enablement.
Maintain documentation of backup architectures and DR processes.
Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security teams.
Support audits, projects, and initiatives requiring backup expertise.
Communicate technical information clearly.
Essential Skills
Proven Rubrik experience.
Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure.
Experience protecting Azure and Office 365 workloads through Rubrik.
Strong troubleshooting ability and governance understanding.
Experience with other enterprise backup suites.
VMWARE VCF integrations
API integration exposure.
Disaster recovery planning.
