A senior developer is sought to develop, enhance, modify, and maintain an application used for the Independent Price Verification process for a Global Markets business. This role involves working in a dynamic environment with an Angular/REST API/Python and Oracle technology stack. The position offers the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders within a Global Markets CFO Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop object-oriented software in Python, utilizing an object-oriented database and grid computing on a proprietary platform.
- Develop data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore to an Oracle (Exadata) database.
- Build REST web services and design the interface between the UI and the REST service.
- Build a data-grid centric UI based on the Angular framework.
- Participate in the full development process through the entire software lifecycle.
- Engage fully in an Agile software development process, including pair programming and daily stand-ups.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- A minimum of 6-10 years of overall technology experience is required.
- A minimum of 6-10 years of experience designing and developing in an object-oriented environment with any OO language (e.g., Java, C++, C#) is required.
- 3-5 years of Python experience is required.
- 6-10 years of experience designing and tuning SQL database tables and queries is required.
- Experience with grid computing and high data volume is required.
- Relevant industry experience in banking middle/back office or finance is required.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and object-oriented programming is required.
- Knowledge of a proprietary platform like Quartz is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across a range of languages and technologies, especially C++/Java and Python.
- Experience with git, npm, and Angular (version 15.x or later).
- Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration.
- A desire to work in an Agile process.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $68.26 per hour.
