Summary

Job Title: Telecommunications Manager 2 (Networking / Telecommunications)

I. Description of Services

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Manager 2 to provide leadership and oversight of enterprise Network Services operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing complex networking environments and ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all infrastructure components.

All deliverables produced during this engagement will be considered "work made for hire" and will remain the property of the hiring organization. Candidates may be required to undergo and successfully pass background checks in accordance with applicable laws. No fees will be paid for interviews or candidate selection processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for Network Services, including:
    • WAN, LAN, wireless networks, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
  • Manage daily network operations, including:
    • Incident management
    • Problem resolution
    • Service availability and performance
  • Act as the escalation point for critical network and infrastructure issues
  • Coordinate and prioritize workload across networking, infrastructure, and security teams
  • Support and drive key initiatives such as:
    • SD-WAN implementation and optimization
    • Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
    • Security integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, Next-Generation Firewalls, Identity Services)
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee network-related contracts and services
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Data Center, Telecom, and Security
  • Provide regular status reporting, risk assessment, and mitigation planning to leadership
  • Maintain documentation for network architecture, processes, and operational procedures
  • Support knowledge transfer and ensure continuity of operations



II. Required Skills and Qualifications

< data-end="2376" data-start="2347">Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in supervisory or management roles, including:
    • Leading teams
    • Providing direction and mentorship
    • Driving team performance and collaboration

< data-end="2598" data-start="2565">Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in administration, design, and maintenance of Cisco VoIP solutions
  • 5+ years of experience managing networking teams in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting 24x7x365 network, voice, and video infrastructure



III. Engagement Details

  • Start Date: July 3, 2026
  • End Date: March 3, 2027
  • Work Hours: Up to 45 hours per week (with prior approval required for overtime)
  • The engagement may be extended upon mutual agreement



IV. Work Location & Schedule

  • Location: Hybrid (Onsite + Remote)
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding holidays)
  • Occasional after-hours work (evenings, weekends, holidays) may be required based on business needs
