We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Program Architect to serve as the strategic technical
authority for our enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This role is critical for a high-stakes program
involving a dual-vendor delivery model. You will act as the "bridge" between business vision
and technical execution, ensuring that solutions from both vendors align with our long-term
roadmap, performance standards, and security.
Key Responsibilities
Dual-Vendor Governance: Establish and maintain technical guardrails, design patterns,
and DevOps standards to ensure seamless collaboration and code integrity between two
primary system integrators.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating
complex technical risks and trade-offs into actionable business decisions.
Architectural Oversight: Conduct design reviews and Architecture Decision Records
(ADRs) to validate that vendor-proposed solutions are scalable, secure, and minimize
technical debt.
Strategic Roadmap: Define the "North Star" for the Salesforce platform, managing the
product backlog in coordination with business SMEs to balance urgent needs with
long-term stability.
Integration & Data Strategy: Partner with enterprise leads to design robust integration
patterns (e.g., SAP, Workday) and manage complex data flows across the dual-vendor
landscape.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years specifically in a Salesforce
Architect role managing large-scale, enterprise-level implementations.
Vendor Management: Proven track record of managing technical delivery in
multi-vendor environments, including conflict resolution and cross-team release
management.
Stakeholder Acumen: Exceptional "executive presence" with the ability to influence
C-suite stakeholders and lead steering committee discussions.
Technical Depth: Expert-level knowledge of Sales and Service Cloud, multi-cloud
architecture, and integration middleware.
Local Availability: Must be able to work onsite in Lansing, MI, to facilitate high-touch
collaboration with local agency leadership.
Preferred Certifications
Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Solution Architect certifications.
Salesforce Certified Application and System Architect credentials.
Experience with Michigan State Government or public sector compliance (e.g.,
CCWIS)
