The National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (NSPARC) at Mississippi State University invites applications for an Android Mobile Developer. The successful candidate provides assessment and programming support to the analytic staff in modeling, designing, developing, coding, maintaining, and testing of modern, data-intensive mobile applications.
Required Skills
Acquire knowledge of programming procedures and standards. Design, code, and test application software, as well as
modify existing software to reflect changes in functional requirements. Code efficiently while adhering to established
programming standards. Prepare and maintain quality documentation to manage program development and revisions.
Prepare instructions and user documentation for users / operators. Modify programs to increase operating efficiency.
Prepare test data and validate software for accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.

Preferred
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area from an aaccredited institution and one year of experience dealing with designing, developing, testing and deploying production grade applications, familiarity with Android frameworks, familiarity with multiple package managers such as Cocoa Pods, Carthage and Swift Package Manager. Successful candidates will have a good attention to detail, a desire to build good products for users, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
