Manager, Application Development (Xstore) LocationEdgewater Park, NJ (Onsite 4x per month)
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and support the technical team responsible for maintaining, supporting, and integrating Oracle Retail Point of Service (XStore) in a 24x7 enterprise environment. This role combines leadership, technical strategy, and operational excellence to ensure seamless store system performance and innovation.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and IT standards.
- Define and implement new procedures, processes, and tools to improve system availability and reduce costs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and evolving store system technologies.
Operations & Technical Management- Lead IT readiness for new store openings and partner with operations for launch execution.
- Manage technical support in a 24x7 environment, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Oversee application development and functional releases for store systems.
- Plan workloads based on priorities, budgets, and resource availability.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and escalations.
- Ensure effective governance, change control, and accountability for system configurations.
Team Development- Drive succession planning and talent development within the IT team.
- Provide training and mentorship to enhance technical and process skills.
- Delegate work effectively and hold team members accountable for results.
- Act as a leader across the IT organization to drive collaboration and outcomes.
Experience- 5+ years of IT Management experience in Applications Development, Project Management, and SDLC methodologies.
- 5+ years of Oracle Retail Point of Service (XStore) experience.
- Strong understanding of store systems, including authorization and payment flows.
Skills & Abilities- Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects and diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize under time constraints.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and contracts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts in a clear business context.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and risk-mitigation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
