We are looking for a Full-Stack Java Developer (AI-Enabled Development)

We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with a strong backend focus to build and enhance scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Java and Spring Boot, is comfortable contributing across both backend and frontend development, and actively leverages AI tools as part of their day-to-day software development workflow.

This role will work across the full application stack, with approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend development. Engineers on this team will be building AI-enabled functionality and AI agents as part of future development initiatives. Prior experience building AI agents is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable developing software with AI tools and eager to build AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications using modern Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Responsible for backend services, APIs, integrations, database development, and distributed application architecture.
• Contribute to modern frontend development.
• Solve complex technical problems and work across the application stack.
• Incorporate AI into the software development process using modern AI development tools.
• Build AI-powered features and AI agents as part of the platform.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience developing Spring Boot microservices.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience developing modern frontend applications using Angular, React, Stencil, or other JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience working in Agile/iterative software development environments.
• Actively uses AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day software development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Skills:

Preferred Skills:

• Experience actively using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, Amazon Q, or similar.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development, troubleshoot technical issues, generate tests, and improve engineering productivity.
• Engineers in this role will build AI-powered functionality and AI agents; prior agent-building experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with concepts such as RAG, Model Context Protocol (MCP), tool/function calling, prompt engineering, or AI orchestration is a plus.
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud-based application development.
• Experience with modern DevOps practices.
• JIRA and Agile development methodologies.
• Health insurance or healthcare domain experience preferred.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
