Description

We are looking for a Business Applications Manager to lead the company's enterprise systems, data platforms, and reporting capabilities in Greenville, South Carolina. This position plays a central role in strengthening application performance, improving business processes, and helping leadership make better decisions through reliable data and modern technology. The role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, collaborate closely with technical and operational teams, and shape a scalable systems strategy for a growing plastics manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:
Direct the administration, enhancement, and day-to-day performance of core ERP and business application platforms, including SAP and Acumatica environments.
Oversee system configuration, access controls, upgrades, and connected applications to ensure dependable and efficient operations.
Work with department leaders to refine workflows, increase user adoption, and improve how technology supports business objectives.
Lead application and data activities tied to acquisitions, including system integration, data conversion, and process standardization across locations.
Manage SQL Server environments by monitoring stability, backup integrity, security, and overall database performance.
Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and KPI reporting using Power BI and related business intelligence tools.
Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI-enabled solutions that streamline operations and strengthen decision-making.
Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and internal IT partners to resolve issues, maintain documentation, and support long-term system strategy.
Provide advanced support, user guidance, and training for business systems to help teams across sites operate effectively.
Establish governance practices for applications, data, and integrations in alignment with security and compliance expectations.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in business systems, ERP administration, application management, or a related IT function.
Hands-on experience supporting SAP, Acumatica, or comparable ERP platforms in a business environment.
Strong working knowledge of SQL Server, including database administration, troubleshooting, and performance management.
Experience creating reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions with Power BI, BIRT, or similar reporting tools.
Ability to manage application configuration, integrations, and user support in a multi-site organization.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and adapt within a lean, fast-paced, and growing organization.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in information systems, technology, business applications, or a related field.
