large, well-established banking client to help them hire a
Director-level leader for their
Loan Enablement group. This role will serve as a
Group Manager, overseeing teams responsible for loan operations and driving process improvement, risk management, and operational excellence across the loan lifecycle.
They are looking for a strong people leader with deep experience in
loan operations, credit products, or lending services, who can manage teams, streamline workflows, and support ongoing transformation initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
This is a
full-time, permanent position with the client, and
relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate. This position is also bonus eligible. The role would sit in
Houston, TX.
The RoleAs the
Director, Operations Group Manager, you will be a pivotal leader within our Loans Enablement Operations team. You are responsible for the strategic execution and day-to-day management of operations resources aligned to our
PODs and Service Delivery Groups (SDGs).
We are looking for a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between traditional loan servicing and modern, digital-first operations. You won't just manage a team; you will drive the evolution of our platform through process re-engineering, data literacy, and a commitment to an Agile mindset.
Your Impact- Strategic Leadership: Execute the Platform's operations strategy by directing resources within SDGs to meet evolving business needs.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and oversee a comprehensive suite of metrics (unit costs, efficiency benchmarks, and KRIs) to ensure we exceed quality and productivity standards.
- Change Advocacy: Lead the design and implementation of high-priority change initiatives, ensuring they align with our North Star OKRs and enhance our control environment.
- Talent Development: Identify and mentor the next generation of operations talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning with a heavy emphasis on Digital Tooling and automation.
- Stakeholder Synergy: Act as a key consultant for senior management and external partners, translating complex operational data into actionable feedback and strategic updates.
- Governance & Compliance: Enforce rigorous operations policies and best practices, ensuring all activities remain within regulatory guardrails.
What We're Looking For- Experienced Leader: 10-12 years of total experience, with a proven track record in management and leading large, diverse teams.
- Loan Market Expert: Prior hands-on experience with syndicated loans, loan servicing, ClearPar, and LSTA standards.
- Agile Practitioner: Deep experience in Operations management, preferably within an Agile framework.
- Data-Driven Strategist: Highly proficient in data literacy and management, with a passion for process re-engineering and "out-of-the-box" problem-solving.
- Modern Mindset: You are non-hierarchical, transparent, and eager to "roll up your sleeves" alongside your team to drive execution.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive, growth-oriented feedback.
