Professional - Business Analyst I
Location: Houston, Texas (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
The Shop Business Analyst provides analytical, administrative, and operational support to Shop Operations. This role focuses on work order management, cost analysis, reporting accuracy, equipment and tool lifecycle support, and coordination with supervision to ensure efficient shop performance, compliance, and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work orders with supervision for accuracy and completeness.
- Close work orders and production orders in SAP and review workload reports for errors.
- Perform project cost analysis and analyze tool repair costs versus replacement costs.
- Utilize SAP for work orders, production orders, equipment masters, and reporting.
- Create and update equipment masters and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Maintain tool inventory records and assist with Tool Committee activities.
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Apprentice Manual.
- Assist with payroll reports, time corrections, and invoice processing.
- Create purchase orders (POs) and contract requests.
- Update and maintain Shop web pages and the Shops SharePoint site.
Required Qualifications
Education: Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience working in a general office environment.
Skills:- Able to perform data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Able to use routine problem-solving and organizational skills to accomplish work.
- Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and independently.
- Able to adapt quickly to changing demands in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
- Working knowledge of SAP, One Pay, and Coupa systems.
- SAP experience with work orders, production orders, and equipment masters is preferred.
Work Environment
This position operates in a normal office environment. The role may require occasional overtime to meet established deadlines. Some fieldwork may be required in adverse conditions.
