Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing issues during the new product introduction phase.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and process flows.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review and manufacturability analysis.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Windchill, Agile) for managing product data and workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proven problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis in a production setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Python scripting for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or lead small project teams.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in an industrial setting.
