Role Overview
This position involves the development of embedded software for commercial elevator products. The role requires working within a collaborative engineering team to design, implement, and maintain embedded control software for elevator systems, including control boards and field tools. The successful candidate will participate across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through to validation, release, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain embedded control software for elevator systems.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, validation, release, and support.
- Implement new features and change requests using C/C++ in embedded environments.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression testing in lab environments using hardware simulators.
- Document software requirements, design details, test procedures, and results.
- Support configuration control, change management, and troubleshooting of field issues.
- Work on both legacy elevator control systems and new product development.
- Adhere to established coding standards and participate in code reviews.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- A solid background in embedded systems and software development, including system-level interaction and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with complex hardware and software environments and adapting to existing architectures.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing in hardware-based environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management and change control processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development practices.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $65.00 per hour.
