What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in oil and gas automation.
  • Minimum of 2 years in field commissioning or controls engineering.
  • Advanced expertise in PLC programming with Allen-Bradley platforms, including PlantPAx systems.
  • Strong skills in HMI development using FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
  • Extensive experience in field implementation, including loop checks, functional testing, and system startup validation.
  • Robust troubleshooting abilities across control systems, networking, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas production processes and industrial communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, serial, and wireless.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as API, NEC, ISA, and procedures like MOC and PSSR.
  • Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and support on-call rotations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other automation software and tools.
  • Certifications in controls and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols relevant to industrial controls.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on automation experience in the oil and gas sector.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the field environment for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
