Job Description
We are seeking a Product Owner (Mobile Engineering Product Manager) to join our dynamic team supporting mobile application development across multiple business lines at Bank of America. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in technical product ownership, mobile application ecosystems, and people leadership and a proven ability to drive product vision, adoption, and delivery in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
Role Logistics and Notes:
- Approved location: Charlotte, NC. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week, onsite day 1.
- Start month: June/July. Two interview rounds. In-person preferred for panel and hiring manager connects.
- Potential contract-to-hire. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- Glider ID verification required. Max 3 submissions per vendor.
- On resume: include current location or relocation plan, availability/start date, and any cooling-off requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the product vision for one or more mobile products, informed by user research with external clients and internal partners.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for mobile applications, including frameworks, technical architecture, and underlying data.
- Lead product planning, roadmap definition, and delivery in collaboration with engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
- Drive product adoption and expansion across multiple business lines, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and client needs.
- Apply Copilot usage and prompt engineering expertise to enhance mobile product capabilities and delivery workflows.
- Lead and coach teams, set priorities, delegate work, and ensure timely delivery across concurrent initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
- 10+ years in a technical product owner or business analyst role in project-based environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing people and delivering products.
- Deep understanding of mobile frameworks and mobile application architecture and data flows.
- Deep understanding of Copilot and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Experience with Agile tools such as Jira preferred.
- Strong time management, prioritization, delegation, and coaching skills.
- Effective communication across organizational levels with strong presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and workshop skills.
- Fluency in technology and knowledge of software development methodologies and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Domain knowledge of mobile applications for internal users and external banking customers.
- UI/UX design exposure and FinTech experience.
- Hands-on collaboration with engineering teams in Agile software development environments.
- Data literacy with an analytical mindset and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Business-centric judgment with the ability to tailor approaches for optimal outcomes.
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate across business and cross-functional areas.
- Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels.
