our team is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our growing IT group. In this role, you will support and enhance critical network infrastructure across multiple sites, with a primary focus on Cisco technologies and enterprise network operations. This hands-on position is ideal for technically driven professionals who value service excellence, quality documentation, and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and support network equipment and devices (routers, switches, firewalls) throughout their life cycle. Conduct site visits to branch and office locations for installations and troubleshooting as needed. Review, audit, and remediate network devices and configurations to ensure compliance with internal and industry security standards. Provide backup support and participate in vendor escalations for Cisco unified communications systems (training provided as needed). Maintain and update network systems, including regular software and firmware upgrades. Create and update technical documentation, diagrams, and departmental procedure run-books. Respond to and resolve support requests from internal teams. Analyze, diagnose, and document root causes of network problems; propose and implement corrective actions. Interface with third-party vendors for escalations and resolution of complex issues. Meet deadlines on daily tasks as well as short- and long-term technology projects. Mentor and share technical knowledge with other IT team members. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for critical incidents and scheduled changes.
Requirements
Requirements: 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco network infrastructures, both day-to-day and new deployments. Strong working knowledge of IP routing and protocols such as OSPF and BGP. Experience with WAN technologies in a multi-site and remote environment (MPLS, IPsec, site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs). Working knowledge of network security solutions (firewalls, DLP, antivirus, identity management, secure access). Active CCNA or CCNP certification focused on Routing & Switching, or ability to earn one in a defined period. Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ISR Routers and Cisco Catalyst Switches via CLI. Familiarity with Cisco unified communications and VoIP is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. Working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ASA technologies. Proficiency with network monitoring tools and the ability to proactively analyze network performance. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines with strong project management skills. Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills. Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent detail oriented experience required. Willingness to work some evenings and occasional weekends for planned changes or urgent issues. Ability to think logically, visualize abstract concepts, and solve complex problems. Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers. Preferred Attributes: Experience working in a highly customer-focused environment. Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team. Willingness to develop knowledge of next-generation firewalls, load balancers, and modern network monitoring solutions.
