Description
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our team in Urbandale, Iowa. This Contract to permanent position involves overseeing server and network systems, managing system security, and ensuring optimal performance of IT resources. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in system administration, network maintenance, and user support while consistently delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
Manage servers and network systems, ensuring they are consistently updated and documented.
Administer user accounts and group policies in Active Directory, while providing support for storage and backup systems.
Monitor and maintain system performance, applying necessary software and hardware patches.
Implement and enforce security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and daily backups.
Coordinate testing and deployment of server and network equipment, adhering to established policies and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with team members to address support incidents.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Train staff on new technologies and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Maintain positive working relationships and contribute to a service-oriented environment.
Ensure a safe and secure working environment, adhering to confidentiality standards and corporate compliance protocols.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in server, network, and patch management.
Proven knowledge and experience in system security and data backup/recovery processes.
Proficiency in server, network, and backup administration tools and techniques.
Familiarity with operating systems and platforms, including Windows Server and Windows 10.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Citrix Technologies.
Knowledge of hardware such as Dell Technologies, network switches, and router switches.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
