Role Summary

This role involves managing procurement processes to ensure the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services. The procurement specialist will oversee the full sourcing lifecycle, from developing strategies to vendor negotiations, with a focus on optimizing quality and cost-effectiveness. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support organizational operational needs and supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and lead strategic purchasing plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage all phases of the procurement cycle, including request processing, bid collection, and order issuance.
  • Analyze market trends and leverage insights to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, performance, and risk mitigation.
  • Track shipment statuses, confirm receipt of goods, and handle downstream reporting.
  • Process invoices and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and other internal teams to clarify specifications and expectations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and reporting related to procurement activities.
  • Track key performance metrics to assess procurement effectiveness and implement improvements for cost reduction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
  • Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strategic thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and foster supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of market trends affecting procurement decisions.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid schedule, with a combination of remote and in-office work.

Publishing Pay Range: $18.00- $22.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
