Summary

Client is looking for a IT Support Engineer (Tier 2 / MSP) that will work directly with clients and internal engineering teams to support, maintain, and enhance a variety of customer IT environments. This role is primarily focused on service desk ticket resolution, providing installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support across multiple networks.

Compensation: $43,000 - $47,000
Location: On-site full-time for the first 3 months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule (Tampa)
On-Call: Participation in an after-hours support rotation every few months

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support, help desk, or systems support role
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Windows OS and basic Windows Server environments
    • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
    • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user devices
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Day to Day:
  • Manage and resolve service desk tickets of varying complexity across multiple client environments
  • Provide primarily in-house support, with exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, servers, and peripheral devices
  • Support Windows operating systems and assist with MacOS and basic Linux environments
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and mobile device issues
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
  • Assist with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, SSL)
  • Support and maintain network devices including switches, firewalls, NAS, and printers
  • Assist with firewall configuration and troubleshooting (SonicWall, Cisco, Fortinet, WatchGuard)
  • Perform basic server administration and support Windows Server environments
  • Identify and remediate basic security vulnerabilities across systems and networks

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Exposure to firewall technologies (SonicWall, Cisco, Fortinet, WatchGuard)
  • Familiarity with MacOS and/or Linux systems
  • Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or similar)
