Role Overview
This position assists in the overall management of assigned renewable energy projects to ensure compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The role involves auditing contractor data, verifying project execution, and ensuring all aspects of labor compliance are met per project requirements, specifically for prevailing wage and apprenticeship standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals.
- Audit data inputs from contractors related to prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects.
- Validate acceptance of completed work against design requirements and review contractor payment requests.
- Create deficiency reports for management and provide corrective action notes.
- Build and maintain project schedules using tools such as Smartsheet.
- Gather certified payrolls and other documentation, execute detailed audits, and compose reports of findings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for prevailing wage labor compliance requirements.
- Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
Education: An Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required.
Experience: 0 - 5 years of experience in managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination.
Technical Skills: A high competence in technical databases and experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet are required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Background in Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship compliance or compliance with wages stipulated in the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Experience with certified payroll and LPC Tracker software.
- PMP certification is preferred.
Work Environment
- This is an office-based role that can incorporate travel up to 25% to project sites as required.
- Must be physically capable of maintaining prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Must be physically capable of walking on job sites with varied, uneven terrain and in varied weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds at a time.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $39.00 per hour.
