Role Description
We are seeking team owns the Point of Sale platform powering full-line stores and Rack across thousands of registers nationwide.
We're looking for a contract Product Manager or Senior Product Manager to join the team through the end of 2026, covering two planned leaves across our Core Enablement and Checkout & Pay squads.
This is a high-visibility engagement with real scope - you'll own active epics, work directly with Engineering and UX partners, and contribute to delivery that affects how our store teams serve customers every day.
For the right person, there is a genuine path to a full-time role as the team evaluates a headcount expansion tied to engineering growth.
From May through July, you'll support the Core Enablement squad across Q2 deliverables & H2 backlog planning, prioritizing features needed to expand & scale our new POS system in stores before Holiday.
From August through December, you'll move into the Checkout & Pay squad for Q3 and Q4, owning delivery of Card Not Present Payment functionality (Durable Consent, Card-on-File/Wallet, Payment Link & Consent Management), & Product-not-Present ordering
Own epic-level delivery end to end - from problem framing through launch - in partnership with Engineering, UX, and store operations stakeholders
Maintain backlog health, sprint cadence, and delivery transparency for your assigned squad
Communicate clearly with cross-functional partners and escalate blockers early
Represent your squad's work in planning forums and leadership updates
Navigate ambiguity with good judgment and a bias toward action
Skills and Requirement
At the PDM level, we're looking for someone who can operate independently within a defined scope, manage a backlog with minimal oversight, and communicate effectively across Engineering and design partners. Retail or commerce experience is a plus.
At the Sr. PDM level, we're looking for someone who brings domain depth - ideally in payments, POS, or retail technology - and can hit the ground running with limited ramp time.
You should be comfortable shaping ambiguous problems, influencing without authority, and driving delivery in a fast-moving environment.
Across both levels, the strongest candidates will have:
Experience as a PM on a consumer-facing or internal platform product
Familiarity with Agile delivery and cross-functional squad models
Strong written and verbal communication, especially with technical partners
A track record of delivering in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Payments or retail POS experience is a meaningful plus, not a requirement
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience. (5+ years)
