Key Responsibilities- Drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of new products.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
- Manage pilot production builds and provide technical support during product launch.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues during the NPI phase.
- Establish and maintain product documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and product quality.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
- Experience with PCBA bring-up, debugging, and test development.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and quality control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems beyond NPI-specific modules.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and their application to data management.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior engineers or cross-functional teams.
