Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Principal Business Analyst - Investment Technology for a Direct Hire assignment with one of our premier Investment Management clients based in Atlanta, GA. This position requires 3-4 days/week in the office.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead discovery, analysis, and requirements definition for complex, data-driven investment and ESG technology initiatives.
  • Partner closely with investment, ESG, risk, compliance, product, and technology stakeholders to understand business workflows, data requirements, and priorities.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technology solutions.
  • Lead analysis efforts across large-scale initiatives involving investment and ESG data, reporting, analytics, and technology platforms.
  • Work closely with engineering and data teams throughout the full Agile delivery lifecycle.
  • Analyze data flows, business processes, system dependencies, and integration requirements.
  • Use SQL and other data analysis techniques to investigate data, validate requirements, and support solution design and testing.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and work with business and technology teams to drive issues to resolution.
  • Operate independently and apply sound judgment when solving complex and non-routine business and technology problems.
  • Serve as a senior Business Analyst resource and help establish effective analysis and delivery practices across the team.

Required Skills:
  • 10-12+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst within complex enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong experience leading business analysis and execution for large-scale, complex, data-driven technology initiatives.
  • Financial services or asset/investment management industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of data concepts, data flows, data mapping, and data-driven applications.
  • Hands-on experience using SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience working with Snowflake or similar modern cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, and/or data visualization solutions.
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with engineering and data teams.
  • Strong experience working within Agile delivery models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead analysis across complex initiatives involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience within investment technology or investment data environments.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • ESG / sustainable investing
    • Investments / investment management
    • Risk
    • Compliance
    • Regulatory reporting
    • Investment or enterprise data platforms
  • Experience working with ESG data, investment data, or third-party financial data providers.
  • Experience supporting global investment management organizations.
