Location: Remote with U.S. Travel (up to 75%)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Commissioning Supervisor / BESS Field Commissioning Coordinator to support the commissioning of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across multiple U.S. sites. This role will assist field leadership with coordinating commissioning activities, maintaining project documentation, supporting testing readiness, and ensuring safe project execution.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a technical background in electrical systems or engineering technology who wants to build hands-on experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning activities for BESS and solar-coupled energy projects
• Assist with quality walkdowns, punch-list tracking, and mechanical completion checks
• Maintain commissioning readiness documentation and turnover packages
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and internal teams on testing schedules
• Collect field data including alarms, event logs, and meter readings
• Support troubleshooting and issue escalation to commissioning leadership
• Track project progress and identify schedule constraints
• Assist with energization readiness and performance testing support
• Prepare daily and weekly project status reports
• Organize commissioning documents, redlines, and closeout records
• Support field safety programs and compliance with site procedures
• Participate in coordination meetings and track action items
• Travel to project sites throughout the U.S. for commissioning support

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Engineering Technology
  • Related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in:
  • Electrical field support
  • Commissioning support
  • Renewable energy projects
  • Industrial electrical systems
• Ability to read:
  • One-line diagrams
  • Schematics
  • Wiring diagrams
• Understanding of:
  • AC/DC circuits
  • Three-phase power
  • Electrical safety
• Experience using:
  • Digital multimeters
  • Clamp meters
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • PowerPoint
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel up to 75%
