Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an AI Engineer / Human Capital for a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our premier financial services clients in NYC, Hudson Yards. Hybrid schedule: On site Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

This role will partner with Human Capital, business leaders, and technology teams to identify opportunities for AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance employee experiences, and support data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in modern AI technologies with strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions

Responsibilities :
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance Human Capital processes, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, learning, and HR operations.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities to leverage generative AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Build prototypes and production-ready AI applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and agentic AI architectures.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based tools, automation solutions, and data pipelines to support AI initiatives and analytics.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with technology, data, security, and governance teams to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise standards for quality, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Continuously improve AI models, prompts, workflows, and user experiences through testing, experimentation, and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Capital, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Capital, data science, technology development with exposure to artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI platforms, prompt engineering, and AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
  • Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI architectures, and modern AI application design practices.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, manage multiple workstreams, navigate cross-functional dependencies, and drive work forward with speed.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.


Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced coursework or experience with technology-driven projects is a plus.
  • Experience working with off shore teams
