Job Description:

What the Manager is Looking For

This role is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in transportation, third-party logistics (3PL), freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain operations.
The selected candidate will support day-to-day TPL operations, manage carrier performance, coordinate outbound shipments, monitor KPIs, and help optimize transportation processes.
Experience with cross-border logistics between San Diego and Tijuana is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate third-party logistics operations, including intermodal, over-the-road (OTR), and cross-border freight.
Manage outbound LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments from planning through delivery. Coordinate dedicated truck operations and load planning.
Monitor carrier performance and KPIs while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS) to manage shipment data.
Track and trace shipments, ensure timely POD collection, and support invoicing.
Develop and implement SOPs to improve transportation efficiency and maximize carrier utilization. Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Preferred Background :

3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain. Experience with TMS, WMS, dispatch operations, and carrier management.
Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and identifying process improvements. Intermediate Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor''s degree preferred.

Pay Transparency: "The expected pay range for this position is $25.00–$27.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, 401(k) without employer match. Paid Sick leave is provided based on state or local laws."
