Job Description:
What the Manager is Looking For
  • This role is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in transportation, third-party logistics (3PL), freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain operations.
  • The selected candidate will support day-to-day TPL operations, manage carrier performance, coordinate outbound shipments, monitor KPIs, and help optimize transportation processes.
  • Experience with cross-border logistics between San Diego and Tijuana is highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate third-party logistics operations, including intermodal, over-the-road (OTR), and cross-border freight.
  • Manage outbound LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments from planning through delivery. Coordinate dedicated truck operations and load planning.
  • Monitor carrier performance and KPIs while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS) to manage shipment data.
  • Track and trace shipments, ensure timely POD collection, and support invoicing.
  • Develop and implement SOPs to improve transportation efficiency and maximize carrier utilization. Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Preferred Background :
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain. Experience with TMS, WMS, dispatch operations, and carrier management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and identifying process improvements. Intermediate Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor''s degree preferred.
Pay Transparency: "The expected pay range for this position is $25.00–$27.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, 401(k) without employer match. Paid Sick leave is provided based on state or local laws."
