Agile Transformation Coach
Location: Hybrid – Nashville, TN
Role Overview
The client is seeking an experienced Product & Agile Transformation Coach to help teams transition from project-based delivery to a product-centric operating model, and from waterfall to agile ways of working.
The consultant will work closely with IT leadership, product managers, delivery teams, and governance stakeholders to embed modern delivery practices, product thinking, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Coach teams and leaders transitioning from project-centric to product-based delivery
· Support transformation from waterfall to agile/hybrid agile methodologies
· Provide hands-on coaching to:
o Product Managers / Product Owners
o Delivery Managers / Scrum Masters
o Cross-functional technical teams
· Help teams define and refine:
o Product vision, pipelines, and roadmaps
o Outcome-based planning and metrics
o Backlog management and prioritization
· Assess current delivery practices and recommend improvements
· Facilitate workshops (Agile fundamentals, product mindset, team charters)
· Align governance, funding models, and prioritization processes with product delivery
· Support teams adapting agile practices within enterprise or public-sector environments
· Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations to leadership
Required Experience
· Experience as an Agile Coach, Product Coach, or Delivery Transformation Coach
· Proven success leading project → product and waterfall → agile transformations
· Experience working with cross-functional technical teams (engineering, QA, operations, security, data)
· Strong knowledge of:
o Agile and Lean principles
o Product management practices
o Incremental and iterative delivery models
· Ability to coach at team, product, and leadership levels
· Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
· Experience working in complex or regulated environments
Preferred Experience
· Public sector or government transformation experience
· Familiarity with frameworks such as:
o Scrum, Kanban, XP
o SAFe, LeSS, or similar scaling frameworks
· Experience aligning governance and funding models with product delivery
· Change management or organizational design experience
· Certifications such as:
o Certified Agile Coach
o SAFe SPC
o ICP-ACC / ICP-ATF
o PMP with Agile experience
