This role will lead the design and governance of large scale Medicaid data architecture solutions, including data warehousing, cloud integrations, data quality, metadata management, and enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate brings deep Medicaid data expertise, strong data governance experience, and a passion for transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-scale Medicaid data architecture solutions supporting analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Architect cloud-based data hub integrations across Medicaid and related healthcare data domains.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data governance teams, data engineering teams, and executive leadership to define enterprise data strategies.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Provide expertise in data harmonization, master data management (MDM), metadata management, reference data, and data quality initiatives.
  • Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with organizational standards.
  • Establish metrics and processes to improve data quality, reduce redundancy, and enhance data governance maturity.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and data architectures.
  • Support the selection and implementation of data management tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid data assets, data products, and analytics capabilities.
  • Partner with program areas to plan and execute multiple analytics projects simultaneously.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and refine AI prompt strategies and query techniques to support complex Medicaid reporting and analytics needs.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs and establish processes to identify and mitigate hallucinations and inaccuracies.
  • Promote data literacy and a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot data issues and develop long-term solutions.




qualifications:

Qualifications:


12+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, and enterprise data governance.


12+ years of experience with data flows, data relationships, data quality processes, and data management best practices.


10+ years of experience working with Medicaid data, including provider claims, encounters, client movement data, and clinical assessments.


8+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining Medicaid data warehouses.


8+ years of experience with metadata management, data quality, reference data management, and enterprise architecture practices.


8+ years of experience leading data-driven organizational initiatives and promoting data governance adoption.


Strong communication, analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.


Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse and performance management platforms.


Experience within public healthcare, Medicaid, health services, or insurance environments.


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.


Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification.
